PAX Technology, the global leader in payment terminal solutions, is excited to announce that Green-Pay, an Ivory Coast-based payment provider, has begun deploying advanced Android point-of-sale terminals certified to UEMOA region standards. In partnership with PAX France, Green-Pay rolled out the A920 model. Their clients include Banque of Abidjan, Bank of Africa (BCME Group), EcoBank, Bridge Bank, telco operator Orange, and forecourt solutions company Vivo Energy.
Green-Pay's strategic investment in PAX solutions reinforces the company's commitment to advancing cashless societies in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and across the UEMOA region (Union Économique et Monétaire Ouest-Africaine), which includes Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo. The next device to be certified will likely be the new A8900 SmartPOS model, launched by PAX earlier this year.
Anouar Traboulsi, Directeur Général at Greenpay, commented, “We are impressed by the design, performance, and reliability of PAX terminals. Their MAXSTORE platform is a game-changer, offering our banking partners sophisticated terminal management that ensures maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. We also value the responsive support from the PAX France team, making them an invaluable partner in delivering cutting-edge payment solutions in our region.”
Nigeria is the leading electronic payments market in West Africa, where PAX has already sold around 1 million terminals. The company now looks to replicate this success in West Africa, with Green-Pay leading the charge.
Mark O'Flynn, Sales Director at PAX Technology, added, "We are delighted to see Green-Pay take the lead in adopting our state-of-the-art payment solutions. Our confidence in this region remains high, and we are excited about the potential for further growth.”
“Our extensive range of devices ensures a seamless software experience across all terminals. PAX products are known for their sleek design and durability, perfectly suited to the demands of Africa's diverse deployment environments," concluded Bertrand Moussu, General Manager of PAX France.
