PAX Global Technology Limited (HKSE stock code: 00327.HK), a leading provider of electronic payment terminal solutions and related services, and Transaction Systems, a leading European payment system integrator, have announced the launch of innovative applications, already fiscalized to comply with Greek law, for the nation’s restaurants and retailers. Designed to work on PAX’s wide range of Android point of sale devices, certification has already been granted in Greece for the elegant A920 mobile device and the E500 SmartECR.
Designed by Diginet, the applications called DigiRetail and DigiOrder can be used for retail sales and order handling in restaurants, in addition to fulfilling general payment functions and receipt issuing compliant to Greek fiscal law.
Thanasis Papageorgiou, General Manager of Diginet, said, “POS applications which are tailored to run on new generation terminals, such as those supplied by PAX, offer exciting new functions for merchants and service providers to quickly adapt to the new world of digitalized marketspaces.”
Because PAX’s A-series and E-series offer all-in-one features not found on traditional POS terminals, such as an Android platform combined with payment, cameras, contactless inbuilt GPS and tablet quality displays, these type of software apps enable superior customer interaction and helping retail and restaurant owners differentiate their business from the competition. Furthermore, by upgrading and enhancing the terminals’ functionality, the cost of ownership and operations is substantially reduced.
Panos Chalkias, Managing Director, at Transaction Systems International, and Mark O’Flynn, VP Sales at PAX, expressed their satisfaction in partnering with Diginet, as a way of introducing in-store solutions that help drive new revenue growth, improve customer engagement, and increase profitability for merchants.
The Diginet applications can be installed on all new generation PAX terminals, with fiscalization currently certified on the A920 and E500 models. The terminals accept all major cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Diners, and offer multiple connectivity via WiFi, 4G and Bluetooth, guaranteeing merchants no down-time whatsoever.
